Product Description

URBAN-E.R.T. CUSTOM WEAPON SLINGS SIG-P556 1” 3 POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT SLING WITH PSRT The SIG-P556 3-POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT SLING was inspired by the need to provide a stable shooting platform to the SIG-P556 without modifying the weapon to accept the sling. This was accomplished using the common features of the URBAN-E.R.T. wide body three point sling. The bonus is the ability to transform this unique sling into a fully functional single point sling with only one hand in a single action. You don’t have to release a buckle to transform the sling and you don’t have to worry about fumbling around trying to reconnect the buckle with both hands.

The operator simply needs to grab the thinner PSRT "Prussik Slide Release Tab TM" at the sling where it intersects with the webbing running along the side of the weapon and pull it to the rear of the weapon. The sling is now a fully functional single point sling with the same features of the URBAN-E.R.T. Single Point Slings. To transition the sling back into the 3 point tactical configuration, you simply grab the Breakaway buckle assembly that is in front of the PSRT, and again with only one hand, slide it towards the front of the weapon. Now you have a fully functional three point tactical sling.

The 3-Point Tactical Single Point Sling allows the tactical operator to manipulate the weapon at virtually any angle, and around any corner in any situation on any weapon system. This unique sling also proved an excellent cheek weld to the sling body when the weapon is punched out for more accurate shooting. The PSRT has been configured to prevent the weapon from accidentally sliding to the rear under the weight of the weapon. The weight of the weapon actually aids in creating the tension required to keep the sling in the desired configuration. Once the sling is adjusted correctly, the weapon should hang centered on the chest.

SIG-P556 3-POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

1. Safely unload the weapon.

2. The complete sling or 3-Point Tactical Single Point Sling is shipped already assembled with the elastic keeper. See below for details to install the sling for a left hand operator.

3. You will need to disassemble the PSRT in order to feed the sling’s 1” webbing through the P556 rear sling attachment plate. Tip: as you pull the webbing from the PSRT, you can follow it with a piece of string as each loop is removed to remember the route that the webbing takes trough the PSRT.

4. First, remove the Tri-Glide at the front of the sling and set it aside with the HK Clip and keeper. Now connect just the HK Clip to the Front Sling Loop on the SIG-P556.

5. Now remember the configuration of the webbing as it is routed through the PSRT assembly. You can go to You Tube, and search urban-ert to watch the SIG-P556 Sling installation video.

6. Remove the webbing from the PSRT, set the two PSRT components aside and install the webbing into the P556 rear sling attachment slot from rear to front.

7. Now reroute the webbing through the PSRT as it was removed, or follow the route of the string that you used to remember the configuration.

8. Now run the webbing through the Triglide and through the installed HK Clip. Now run the webbing back through the Triglide with about three inches of excess webbing loose. Now fold the excess webbing forward and reinstall the elastic keeper to be positioned over the top of the Triglide to maintain the webbing.

If your weapon is an AR-15/M4 style weapon with an existing front barrel Side Mount Sling Swivel, you will only need to use the webbing of the sling and not the HK clip. Route the front of the sling to the barrel Side Mount Sling Swivel and secure it using the Tri-Glide at the front of the sling.

1” Main Sling Adjustment.

1. Adjust the 1” main sling body out so that with the PSRT slid all the way to the front, the weapon hangs tight against your torso, but you can still remove the weapon sling by lifting it over your head. You should be able to achieve a nice cheek weld against the sling body by punching the weapon out.

2. Now slide the PSRT to the rear of the body by pulling only the Prussik Tab to the rear of the weapon and maintaining tension on the sling by punching the weapon out.

3. Once the Prussik Tab is at the rear, you should be able to transition the weapon to your off hand side. If the sling body is too tight, loosen the main body adjustment Triglide that is right next to the URBAN-E.R.T. Label. The sling will now be adjusted to allow you to obtain a sight picture and cheek weld against the sling body, as well as the ability to perform a cross shoulder transition.

Left hand operator conversion. To convert the weapon & sling to a left hand configuration, you will have to remove the receiver end cap and sling attachment end plate from the P556, and reassemble the sling attachment end plate on the right side of the weapon. Now retighten and loc-tight the end cap per the manufacturers specs. Be careful not to bend the take down pin retention spring while performing this operation. The HK Clip will still need to be connected to the left front side of the weapon with the webbing running over the top of the hand guard unless you have a quad rail that can accept a picatinny rail sling attachment. This will complete the transition.
