I.M.P.D. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The I.M.P.D.-3POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT SLING was inspired by the need for a wide body comfortable three point tactical sling that could be installed on a commonly issued government surplus M-16- A1/A2 configuration without modifying the weapon to accept the sling. This was accomplished using the common features of the URBAN-E.R.T. single point sling. The bonus is the ability to transform this unique sling into a fully functional single point sling with only one hand in a single action. You don’t have to release a buckle to transform the sling and you don’t have to worry about fumbling around trying to reconnect the buckle with both hands as with other slings. The operator simply needs to grab the "Prussik Slide Release Tab TM" (PSRT) at the sling where it intersects with the webbing running along the side of the weapon and pull it to the rear of the weapon. The sling is now a fully functional single point sling with the same features of the URBAN-E.R.T. Single Point Slings. To transition the sling back into the 3 point tactical configuration, you simply grab the Breakaway buckle assembly that is at the front of the (PSRT), and again with only one hand, slide it towards the front of the weapon. Now you have a fully functional three point tactical sling. The IMPD-3Point Tactical Single Point Sling allows the tactical operator to manipulate the weapon at virtually any angle, and around any corner in any situation on any weapon system. The (PSRT)TM has been configured to prevent the weapon from accidentally sliding to the rear under the weight of the weapon. The weight of the weapon actually aids in creating the tension required to keep the sling in the desired configuration.

I.M.P.D. 3POINT TACTICAL SINGLE POINT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

1. Safely unload the weapon.

2. The complete sling or 3-Point Tactical Single Point Side Assembly is shipped already assembled for a right hand operator. See below for details to convert the sling for a left hand operator.

Rear harness installation if included.

1. Un-Velcro the rear harness vertical strap.

2. Route the IMPD’s Rear Stock Universal (R.S.U.) harness over the butt stock, and use the smaller Velcro harness retention tab to secure the harness to the weapon’s rear sling attachment. The sling attachment tab can be reversed to face towards the front or rear.

3. Route the vertical strap back through the 1” LoopLock, and re-Velcro the R.S.U. harness vertical strap while sliding the harness forward on the stock, and pulling the strap tight. Adjust the back strap if needed.

Front harness installation. (Fore Grip Universal)-F.G.U.

1. Ensure that the sling’s 1” webbing is not twisted as you manipulate it towards the fore grip for installation of the Fore Grip Universal (F.G.U.) harness.

2. Route the F.G.U. harness over the fore grip, and use the smaller Velcro retention tab to secure the harness to the weapon’s front sling attachment and for placement of the F.G.U.

3. Route the F.G.U. harness around the fore grip of the weapon & run the webbing through the TriGlide buckle just as you would a belt. Once the webbing is tight, reroute the webbing back on itself & through the last available rung of the TriGlide to prevent it from loosening.

Sling Adjustment.

1. Adjust the 2” main sling body out so that the 2” to 1” reducer at the rear of the weapon hangs just below your collar bone when the weapon is hanging. This prevents the 2” to 1” webbing reducer from digging into your neck.

2. The 1” length of webbing (3-Point Side Assembly) that runs along the side of the weapon between the R.S.U. and F.G.U. harness’ should have enough slack in it so as to prevent any weapon malfunctions & allow easy access to all of the weapon’s controls.

Left hand operator conversion.

To convert the sling to a left hand configuration, simply unbuckle the side release break away buckle, and lay the sling out flat on the floor.

Disassemble each piece of plastic hardware off of the 1” tubular webbing, and place it next to the sling in the exact order it was taken off of the left side of the weapon.

Now reassemble the sling in reverse order from how you disassembled it on to the right side of the weapon utilizing the R.S.U. & F.G.U. harnesses. Reconnect the side release break away buckle. This will complete the transition.
